1997 VT commodore Air con

Hi guys I have a 1997 vt commodore and the air con is not working.(leaking).. The air con guy said it might be leaking from under the dash board and I was looking at $1000 to fix.....if I knew what part I was looking for I might be able to do this myself.....
If you know what the part is called or what I should look for that would be awesome

its called the heater core, thats leaking.
