Default Heating

My heating isnt working & i was told theres a white bar thing you can pull to the left of the steering wheel near where your leg rests to make the heating work, i've tried this but nothing happens could i be doing it wrong or could there be a bigger problem??

The problem may be the heater tap in the engine bay. It is on the driver's side and has about 4 hoses connected to it. See if you can move the little arm on it manually. If not, it could be stuck. If you can move it then you might have a vacuum problem so check the thin rubber hose connected to it.

you also need to have the engine running and the fan on when you play with the lever.
I had the same hassel, just replaced the clip for about $1.50 from holden.
I played with mine without everthing turned on and it did not move the tap but once i had the car running and fan on it got nice and toasty.

Not a good idea at all. It is going to be mighty hot in summer. There will be no way of adjusting the temperature. That is what the heater tap is for.
