Might be interested in one of these "kits"... Whats the current status on them?
I have nothing at the mo.. not even sure if the connector is still there, but I think it will be (I'm the 2nd owner, it's an ex-fleet car and it's an Executive so there's just the rubber square behind the power window buttons)
Looking around on eBay for a CK-7W now..
Hmmmm, yeah....
I do still have a couple of these, but unfortunately the CK-1 or CK-7 kits are getting very hard to get hold of.... (they've been superceded and discontinued by Nokia - the kits which replace them use a far different scheme anf this interface won't work...)
If you can get the kit, I can supply you with the interface cable.![]()

Does it work with the CK-7W? If anyone is interested there are about 5 available (second-hand and new) on ...

If computers have no doors or fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
Phreddy, would you possibly be able to supply just the button with cable that will clip into the microphone socket on the CK-7W? I am pretty happy with the setup I have currently but if I could be rid of the Nokia button and have one in the console it would be even better.

Has anyone used a new Nokia bluetooth phone kit with something similar to Phreddy's switch?
I know that the newer kits are different and offer more functions, but if you wanted to dumb down, say a Nokia CK-200 or CK-100 kit and have a stealth/OEM looking install like Phreddy's CK-7W install. The reason being as I have two customers with VZ ute's and I am looking at doing an iPod/Aux mod and bluetooth car kit install for them at the same time.
Some limiting factors that I see is the silly Navi-Wheel thing on the remotes won't be integrated. So with the CK-100 you could possibly take the button click for answer/call button. The CK-200 on the other hand has two seperate buttons answer and hang-up, along with the button to switch between two simultaneously paired phones (ie. work & personal).
The other option I was condering was the Parrot CK3000EVO, dead simple. Just have to hack/mod the remote down to an answer and hang-up button. Possibly like this Holden Phone Button Install
Hey Lein,
Send Greg a email he will be able to help you out with the CK-100 I currently have one isntalled in my VY and it works a treat I can use the factory button to answer and hang up the phone and it flashes all the colours the navi wheel does, whilst also playing music via bluetooth with a aux button.
I've emailed Greg, to organise a button and harness for a CK-7W if he has any. Otherwise I'll go visit Holden and make one myself. Yesterday I picked myself up a CK-7W for $38 off eBay, so long as it works it'll be fine. If not I'll probably chase up a CK-100.
I was thinking more about it yesterday, I figured that this would work with the Nokia CK-100 or THB Bury CC9045. The Bury kit incorporating a port to plug a System 9 cradle in to charge your phone and give you antenna. I have one in my work ute and it's great.
I aim to misbehave.
I have a Phreddy Bluetooth Interface Cable attached to a CK-7W Nokia kit. Its been installed in my Calais for maybe 6-12 months and its like a factory unit. Plenty of CK-7W kits for sale on Ebay for under $100.....just search CK-7W Nokia. Would have to say that Phreddy's products are absolutely brilliant. Kit works perfectly. I also have complete dash light colour change installed by Ant (wrx778) from Perth.
Doing the kit this way is by far cheaper than looking for a genuine holden kit.
Unsure if works on Iphone 4, but it allows for bluetooth music streaming and full integration into car using factory speakers and mutes radio or cd etc. I also elected for the button from Phreddy which has the bluetooth logo instead of the phone symbol just for that personal touch![]()
Mate what do you want out of your bluetooth in your VY?
1) With a Nokia kit (CK7W, CK100) one of the ASR cables and a genuine Holden switch & bezel you'll have a factory looking install. Mine cost ~$100.
2) With a Holden wiring harness you could utilise any bluetooth kit you want. I have installed a Parrot MK9000 and I am about to use a CK200 for a friend who wants to sync two phones at once (work and personal).
The GM part numbers are listed somewhere around the site if your just after the parts from your local Holden dealer. It'll make life much easier depending on how copetent your spare parts mupets are.
I aim to misbehave.
Well I'm a total gumby when it comes to this stuff.
But so far I have the little GMH phone connection loom that connects to the plug under the carpet.
I also have a bluetooth capable LG phone.
I want to be able to answer in coming calls hands free & hear it all through the VY Head Units speakers. Btw I already have a Phreddy modded (via Ant) head unit with the (4) RCA outs & AUX in jack.
Ipod control would be nice too, but I think someone else (Vlad) is doing that to these Head Units.
But for now I want the hands free phone set up that looks close to factory.
Reading here I thought I HAD to have a CK7W Nokia kit to proceed further ?
Cheers

Nope any bluetooth hands free kit will do. It just depends on if you want to use the holden button via the ASR cable or you're happy with the Nokia/Parrot or whatever brand you find that blows your skirt up.I do believe that the ASR cable for the holden button will cork with the newer CK100 nokia kit(remember reading that somewhere on JC). Which is, as fas as I can tell, a newer fandangled version of the CK7W.
But so long as you have the Holden cable to plug into the harness any bluetooth kit you can hardwire will fulfill your needs.
One thing to consider while you are researching bluetooth car kits though. Is if your phone is compatible with them. Most manufacturers list compatible phones on their web sites.
I aim to misbehave.
I have tried to use that nokia site too see if my old LG TU500 mobile phone is compatible with the CK-7W or the CK100 but can't find my way around it to find the info.
Are you saying I can use another brand of hands free & still have the factory look buttons as per the main topic of this thread ?
Cheers

I purchased a Nokia CK-7W kit off ebay as the price is very reasonable, quite cheap actually, and after research, I found that many others had this kit and were happy.
After buying the kit, you need to get a button with the flylead coming from it. This is available through Phreddy at ASR-Audio or PM him on here. I got the button with the bluetooth symbol instead of the phone symbol as Phreddy gave me option.
My best mate who is auto electrician then literally took 10mins to install. The main box of the CK-7W is used and get soldered to the factory wires, then the microphone get routed up the pillar near driver and thats just about it I think. He did it that quick that I didn't get to see exactly
It works a treat, looks factory and works just like a genuine factory installed kit but at a fraction of the price.
I think the total cost was about $75 for the button from Phreddy and maybe $100 or less for the Kit off Ebay, then either yourself or auto elec can install. Due to short time to install, labour cost is minimal.
I want use the Holden buttons with the bluetooh symbol if I can. But do I have to use the Nokia Ck-7W kit to use Phreddys kit/cables etc ?
As I have t LG TU500 still I ws thinking of using a in car kit made for it -
Product Details
Will this work or is it the more expensive way to go about it ?
