Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but says audio so I'm guessing so.
anyway I've got a Vs Calais 1995 and just bought a head unit for it, Kenwood kdc-mp339,
i dont have any instructions with it so im not to sure how to go about wiring, i know how to wire it, but just not which wires go where.
I bought an ISO plug, "holden commodore Vr-Vs ISO connector" the plug that is supposed to plug into the wiring from the car doesn't fit which is weird because it says its for a vs? is it maybe because its a Calais? and there is 2 plug the come off that, which are supposed to plug into the head unit, only theres only one port for it to plug into and neither of them fit, so I'm guessing I've just gotten the wrong plug? Is there a Calais specific plug? and how do i go about finding one that will plug into my head unit?
I'm going to Supercheap or Autobahn later on so yeah thought id ask here before i did that.
cheers.
Also just to add to that, the plug coming from the car has 17 wires, the plug that was already in the back of the head unit, (because i was given it with all the wiring still, just not instructions) has 14 wires, and the ISO plug that i bought has 13 wires.
And another thing i forgot, is there any way that the cd stacker and controls on the steering wheel can be wired back into the head unit?
all good fixed problem, and realized this is the wrong section lol sorry.
Did you just have a conversation with yourself?? just kidding, glad you got it sorted.
