Progress with VT/VX dash conversions.

hey guys..
jsut asking anyone out there who knows..
what is the progress with the VT/VX LED dash conversions?
last i heard (a while ago) they were at a prototype stage..
just wondering if there has been any progresses made?
i am one of im sure plenty who are eagerly awaiting this conversion..
dont wanna bust any ones balls..
just inquiring!!

At this stage no it wont i dont have the time and resources 2 trial and error these on the diffuser panels and i dunno if greg can get any time and resorces 2 do these yet either? but if he reads this im sure he'll let u know.

The morphing needles came relatively easy on the VY/Z cluster, that's just the way they're manufactured. For similar reasons to the LED conversion on VT/X models being more difficult (but not the same), it's also a great deal more tricky to get the colour shifting needles to work. I reckon it can be done, but it will be fiddly - and therefore possibly a deal more expensive...

Now - as for status on the VT/X conversion progress on the Eastern side of the country.... I'm etching production boards this weekend! Prototyping has been competed for a little while now, but a lack of funds has prevented me from getting production rolling along. I'd much prefer to send the design to my board makers in Brisbane and get them to do the hard work - but can't afford that just yet though... (initial engineering setup costs are a killer!)

Real soon though Dippa - I know you've been waiting a while Mate, you're pretty close to the top of the list.

well as long as you think it can be done i am willing to wait for the LED conversion an colour changing needles. Im a very patient man lol. I will be prepared to pay a little extra for the as well. I'll keep checking the forum for its progress.

Hey Greg, you may remember a while ago on one of my fair few visits i brought a mate with a VT berlina along, hoping you could do a blue conversion on his dash and possibly climate/cd player etc. Be good to hear what sorta $$$ he'd be looking at once the conversion is ready to be done!

What would be sick is if the needles light up first then followed by the dials fading in.... like how a new porsche does it..

yeh that would be good and if the move around the dials on startup like the Subaru liberty.

But i reckon the colour changing needles are best, im so hanging out for them.
