    Default LED Footwell Lights

    Hey All,

Went over to Greg's (Phreddy) this arvo to get the Footwell LED's installed. Nothing fancy just blue LED's that run off the courtesy light circuit.

Definitely does brighten up the footwells.

The two front strips are comprised of 6 LED's & the rears are 3 LED's. The wiring for the rears is just routed up to the centre console from under the front seats to the steering column & the fronts go to the same spot.

Ahh Greg was telling me about you getting these done Paul, they look really good! The rear footwells look especially good for just 3 LED's per side! I've already asked if he can do some true green ones for the front and back of mine, and is the process of knocking together a set of colour changing footwell lights (including colour change ignition barrel light, all synchronised), for the mrs vs caprice, along with the everything else he can do for the vs!

    Great work yet again Greg!

Yep - book away. I hope to chat about other items I'd love to see, like LED boot lighting, low level outs for the VE 6 stacker, see what he can do about the standard interior lights (I have blown 2 already!!!!!!!), and any other ideas he'd like to try on my MY10 VE SV6

    Say Phreddy!
Will the 3 Blue Led strips fit in the ute tub rail channel ?
If so I need 4 x 3 Blue Led strips put in there with a switch
as well as 2 x 6 Blue Led strips for front footwells with over-ride switch

I'm really impressed with my whites in the VE, but images just dont do it justice, unlike the color ones. Still having a problem with the kids kicking the back seat LED's, but I think I have a solution for Phreddy.

I just have to got off my ass and see if it works, and if it does then give him the info. Oh and this update, IF it works, will be ideal for cargo area LED light upgrades as it should protect the LED's from a pretty big bump... Might have to build a set or two for the boot to show Phreddy Thursday.... Hmmm

Yep I have 18 white LED's in the boot - 6 in the old light, and a group of 6 on each side. It does not look bright, but in the dark (which is when I added them for) they are really bright. Phreddy put the footwell lights in, and based on that I built the boot lighting and showed him last week in the hopes it's another addition he can offer later.

I went blue for obvious reasons & the fact it goes well with the dark interior.

Jeez they look way brighter than the ones I got from Phreddy, mine were so dull i took them out. The light you have in those pics during the day is more than the light i get at night

I see what you mean, yours are really dull in the photo in the my ride thread compared to these ones.

I have no explanation why, I'll get Greg to have a look if he hasn't already.

Other then that tho your interior looks awesome ! I wish this sort of gear was available when I had my VX.
