Hi Phreddy (and all!)
I hate to ask you more questions phreddy as i know your busy, but i was wondering if it's possible to swap my single disc sv6 stock unit, which you have done the full stereo mod on, with a 6 stacker SS unit and keep your stereo mod?
I'm assuming it would require a bit of welding but do you think it can be done and how easily?
thankyou very much,
cheers
Its up to you mate, do u wanna do this in your car?

lol
such helpful folk :P
Sounds like whatever was done to your single stacker, must be done to your single!
Christ how thick is that solder!?
He would be able to do it
haha oh geez, i was a little drunk the other day when i wrote this up so i was bound to make a silly mistake like that..my bad, should probs stick to sober posting
I'm wonder what sort of welding is going to be done with that oxy/acetylene cutting torch ??? LOL!
Cheers
Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi .
You can still weld with the "cutting" tip, just turn the pressures down a bit, and don't hit the Oxy...
They call it Oxy-welding, or something along the lines...![]()
I think welding is best way. I hop you make that best.
Jeez, I didn't see this thread before Dev - sorry Mate....
Some interesting comments there.... LOL! Be assured Mate, there's no flame torches required.Although yes, there would need to be the same level of soldering I did when I installed the first time.
Easy to do though, and I am planning a trip to Melbourne again soon - keep an eye on the forums for an announcement, we can get it sorted.
Cheerz!

All good phreddy,
i ended up sticking with the single disc unit to save cash, bought a second hand one for 20 bucks and a little pack of T8 screws and just swapped the fascia controls over to your modified head unit, i dunno what i'd do if i lost the mod! it still baffles me (and my mates) at how good it sounds, it's a shame you never got to hear it!
anyway if your coming back to Melbourne sometime soon i might use you again for a dash conversion with the colour changing needles...depends of course on funds because my car is costing me a fortune at the moment getting it repaired....but anyway im sure i'll see a post when and if you do decide to make a trip down here and if you do and i gave enough cash i'll be sure to book you in.
thanks Greg, all the best.
