Hi guys, I have pretty decent door speakers in my VZ and it also has Phreddy's low-level output conversion done.
I have been wanting to add a 4 channel amp to amplify the 4 speakers but I would like to first test to see if my current speakers can handle it without having to buy one and realise the speakers need changing as wellAll this because, I don't have the money to change speakers and install a new amp plus I would like to utilize the current set as much as possible.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Cheers

What speakers are they? All speakers can be "amped", as long as you set the gains right on the amp then you will see an improvement and wont do damage.

I dunno what speakers they are (upgraded by previous owner). But they have a lot of base and everyone who has heard them have been impressed. The reason I want to test is to gauge how much more they can take. If it is only 10-15% gain before distortion, then no point spending money on an amp. However, if they can take 40% or more, then I would surely get an amp!

Why don't you just remove the door trim and have a look at what they are, then look up the specs on the net?
"Nonsense, this is the kind of coverings what we humans wear at this period of time. I'm quite sure of it."
