Ahhhh!
Thanks Ant, for giving those numbers to Rob. (I need to reply to your email too - been FLAT OUT Mate, will be back to you real soon....)
Now - Rob - was I supposed to get those for you Mate??? I can't remember.... (finishing the job at 2:30am - or whenever it was - I was a bit foggy.... heh...)
By the way - haven't forgotten about your dome light - in progress at the moment. Sorry about that, but I had to put the energy into this training - great opportunity, couldn't let it go...
Now - about the AUX now only working on one channel....It was working OK at first, right?? (I'm sure I wasn't too tired to actually test it properly...) I guess it's possible that one of the solder joints to the socket has gone flaky...
Anyhow - trouble is, in order to get that bezel out, and then the dummy cap, you need to snap out the lower centre panel from the console. Start by removing the single screw from up underneath the radio (beneath where the ashtray would be, biased slightly to the right - you need to get down low to see it), and then lift up the grey bit after opening the console bin lid. The clips will snap out from the back, just work your way forward from there and you'll be able to get to it. You might have to unplug the window switches as there's not much slack in the harness....
Sorry about the troubles Mate - let me know if it runs any deeper than that.
Cheerz!

Thanks for that. i suspected I'd need to take the console out.
Naw! Aux worked great did a run to Adelaide and back to Melbourne and had the phone plugged in Aux sound and CD sound is great!
Lots of positive comments from people on the dash light mod (even the missus)
Having the separate amps for the tweeters and woofers for tuning works a treat
I'm sure a solder has cracked will fix on the w/e

Note to Phreddy:-![]()
Put a dob of hot glue between the terminals once soldered to prevent shorting out.
What happened ? The terminals folded over onto each other when pushing up into the
blank plate and was shorting out.
All good now. Individually shielded with tape and problem fixed .
