    Default Audio upgrade

    Afternoon all,

I was at JB HiFi today just inquiring about possible audio upgrades for my ve sv6 the fella there recommended JL Audio C5 650 6.5" splits front and back or alpine type r rears 6.5" married to a MB Quart Dsc 480 amp <(think that's right). Anyhow he qouted me $1900 for it included cabling (no installation). I did hear the speakers and i must say i was impressed with the quality in sound very, very clear. as i do not want to resort to a sub woofer i rather not be heard down the road as long as it sounds awesome inside I'm happy

Reason why I had a look at JB was that they had 30% off there range of in car audio and was wanting an opinion if yes that is a good deal or am I completely mad in spending that much for what I'm after...

Essentially I'm only after great sounding speakers that wont prompt everyone to look up and see me going past. Only after speakers that will cater for all genres...
If there's an alternative in the way of speakers could someone suggested it?

    Thanks in advance.
    666.

Well if you want ASR to take care of your work rather than JB, then you're welcome to post here.

If you're giving JB the job, then this then this thread is NOT welcome in the ASR sponsor's forum.

I was only asking for an opinion I haven't committed to jb at all just doing some research, what can ASR offer to what I am after?

My apologies if I offended you in anyway Phreddy by posting in here my only intentions at this point was research and I figure a bloke like yourself with the extensive background knowledge that you carry in this sort of field would of either given a response on the matter or a better alternative (ASR). Again I mean no disrespect.

    Thanks.

Probably best to call and speak with Greg himself, a 10 minute phone call will establish alot more than a couple days worth of back and forth dialog on here...

SV666 - Mate, I have to apologise for my dummy-spit.... I had just received some rather troubling news, and was a little emotional.

(plus the fact that there are so many threads posted in here which are asolutely non related, and even promoting other products...)

As Rich said though - a few minutes on the 'bone is worth days of to-and-fro PMs or thread posts... Feel fee to call, I have some ideas for VE upgrades.

Chad - it seems a bit strange that nobody wants to take that work on, I wish business was so good that I could turn customers away!!

I will be coming across to Adelaide sometimne in the forseeable future, if you can't get it sorted than I'd be happy to. keep an eye on the forum for an announcement.

    Cheerz!
