    hey,

basically as you've said. The 4 channel Phreddy mod is just that - 4 channels, 2x front and 2x rear, how you run it is up to you.

For instance in my car the 2x front RCA channels run the 4 door speakers off an external amp, and the 2x rear RCA channels run the mono for the sub. Its not the most professional setup but it does the job as I am able to use the fader to quieten the door speakers and allow the sub to doof doof a bit louder, or I can just run them all level and play with the individual adjustments on my amp/mono.

So simple answer is yes, just use the rear RCA channels as the audio feed to your amp that's powering your sub!

Have fun, once you start playing with it stuff will start to make sense (and dont forget to let us know how you go!!)

awesome thanks a heep, thats what i was thinking but it never hurts to ask and avoid doin damage or goin about something the hard way!
is there a better way to do it or thats pretty much it ? and are you better running new speaker cables wen amping your speakers ? its gunna take a lil while as im in the process of building a tray for my amps which hides under the parcel tray, (somewhat similar to what Phreddy had), but its getting there

If your amping your speakers you may as well run new speaker wires. Your speaker wires will have to be re-run from your boot where your amp is to each speaker. Plus the factory wires are thin as.

I think I used 16 gauge. In terms of length, I think I bought 10 metres of it. I got it from bunnings.
