Default ARS Audio Mods for a Ford?

Hey, I'm looking at getting my VY done when Greg is in Adelaide next but just wanting to know if the audio mods, RCA's & AUX, can be done on a BA series Ford as one of my mates is interested.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanx

That would be something you'd have to discuss when Greg either via phone or email. Lighting mods have been done on BA models but no mention of factory audio upgrades

G'day Guys - only just read this one, sorry....

Ollie - as yet I haven't done the mod on a BA head unit. I reckon it would be fairly easy to do though, it should just be a matter of picking up the equivalent electrical points in the Falcon head unit.

One thing I have heard though - not that I take it as gospel - is that some models of the Falcon have the roll-over sensor inside the stereo. If the unit is tipped upside-down after removal from the car, this sensor is tripped and the car won't start anymore! What it boils down to is, I need a "guinea-pig" to prove the concept. I do have access to the BA/BF factory manual actually, I might have a look over the section relating to the entertainment system.... It should alert me to anything which might potentially interfere with the running of the car. Cautionary notes and stuff...

Definitely send me an email, I'm looking at getting over to see you guys after I've got Brisbane and Melbourne done. (Melb will be huge!) Darren, if you've popped in here - I might see if I can catch up with ya this trip! Shout you a frothy or two...

Just to add to this, all BA/BF falcons have an AUX connector up behind the steering column. a simple visit to any ford dealer will get you an AUX cable to attatch that connector (white OEM plug on one side, AUX on the other) for ~$35. AUX mode is then activated by pressing AM twice. AUX isnt accessible without this plug, as it grounds a wire, activating it.

Thanx anarklov3r, I'll tell my mate see if he knows about that.
Hopefully Phreddy gets in contact with me before his Adelaide trip as my mate is keen to let him test out the RCA mod on his head unit.

I will be Mate - no problem. I did get your email, but I'm in the midst of planning a Melbourne trip at the moment. Adelaide's not right at the front of my mind for now...

I'll get your questions answered for you soon, and hopefully be heading across that way in a couple of months, maybe sooner if numbers come up.
