Default Coin in stereo - please help

Hi everyone. Just new to the forum, joined wondering if anyone could offer some advice on a problem my 2 year old has created for me.

He stuck a 10 cent piece into the stacker slot of our 2004 model Berlina and it's fallen all the way in. Now no CD's will play (comes up with Error message) and can't eject them either.

Advice? Take it to the dealer? To stereo installer? Having a crack myself is probably not the best option as taking things apart is fine, but putting them back together using all the parts that came off is not so good.

    Any advice appreciated.

Your chances are slim and none mate. The insides of those stacker's are intricate. A full replacement may be necessary unfortunately.

I would have said pull the head unit out and then undo all the bolts to the metal sleeve over the top and you would likely be able to try an get it out. short of that you could give the head unit to ur 2 year old to shake around for a good half hour to see if it comes out..

Short of that yes you COULD take it to a stereo store (prob cheaper then a Holden Dealer) an get them to pull it out an remove the coin *but in my opinion if you chose this, you would likely save money (or only spend a margin more) just replacing the head unit to an after market on, make something good of something bad..?

I took the head unit out, and just tipped it upside down shook it a few times and managed to get it out.
