Does it go down when the radio is off?
Because if it isn't going down it is because the remote wire for the motorized antenna isn't connected.

You could wire a switch into the antenna wire?? It's because the antenna is running off a wire that tells it
to go up as soon as there is power in the headunit. Whereas the old headunit only told the antenna to
go up/down when the radio was on or off..Kinda like how the trigger wire triggers amps to turn on or off
when there is power or not.

You could wire a switch into the antenna wire??
Me, I just left my antenna down, I hate listening to the radio anyways

As far as I can recall Pioneer is the only major manufacturer whose headunits don't have the smarts to the 'tell' the antenna to go down when a CD is playing. There's not much you can do shy of wiring a switch in so you can manually control the antenna.

I have a clarion so mine goes down. However I think it looks shit when it's up so mine is always down. The reception is still great with my headunit even with the antenna all the way down

you could wire in a Normally open relay.. so it reverses your situation.. so for radio it will go up and cd it will go down..
