VX Cluster Needles

Hey Phreddy, Rich, Ant and who ever

I picked up some some White cluster needles from the wreckers, similar to these (thanks for the pic rich ..)


Are these going to effect the lighting that phreddy has done to my current cluster, meaning, will the needles still glow red if i swap them over?? or do i need to do something to them?

If the original lights for the cluster that sit behind the needle were changed to red then they'll glow red, but have the white background when off. I assume it was done that way as when I've had my previous clusters changed all SMD lights we're changed to blue. So I'd go out on a limb and say they will be fine, take the cluster out and change and a needle to find out.

u may find being white they may turn out a more pinky colour as the white lightens the red. other than that it wont effect anything else.

the needles u got where they from a VX cluster or VT cluster? they must b from the same coloured back housing cluster or they wont fit.

Mine are (the ones above) actually poorly painted (my handy work) VT needles....

^^^ I found this out the hard way, tried to swap my needles with the white ones from an s2 acclaim cluster but they did not fit in my 3 window cluster as it has a white back not black.

My solution was to use paint stripper on the back of my original needles, and painted them white instead, looks like this in the day (although this was taken at night, you can see how it looks) http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...7112010949.jpg
