In order to keep work flowing a little more regularly, I'm offering a repair service for broken stereo amplifiers.

(I'm talking about the external aftermarket amps we would hook up for system upgrades)

Note that not all amps can be repaired economically, and there are others that are simply not worth repairing, so sometimes it's better to just cut the losses and shell out for a new one - but for relatively straightforward faults they can often be returned to service without being too painful in the "wallet nerve".... (most often they'll simply be suffering from a blown output transistor)

Scenario - amp has been working fine, but suddenly there's no music anymore and the red "protect" light has illuminated.... I'll inspect the amp, provide an obligation free quote for repair, and if accepted then I'll go ahead with the job and return it to you. In most cases the repair can be turned around fairly quickly, unless in the case of some brand amps which use very specialised output devices - in which case the required parts will be ordered in.
