The ASR Roadshow - at last!!

Hello everyone.

OK, now that I'm not having to take holidays to take a trip away, it's finally time to start planning the long-awaited ASR Roadshow!

At the moment (until I get a little research finished off) I'm only able to offer services to VY and VZ owners, but I've had many customers in Sydney now, and plenty of interest from interstate. Several kits have been sent around the country (and a good few internationally too, for that matter!) for the folks who have performed their own installs, with a helluva lot of interest shown some little while ago for me to do a couple of runs just like this.

The dash lighting modifications are ready to go full-swing, and the modification kits for the Blaupunkt factory sound system are now providing clean tunes from sources never before possible. Stay tuned for the FAQ threads to come soon.

I guess the time has tested a couple of people here, but for those who are still interested please let me know. There was a number of guys from Brisbane, and a good number from Adelaide as well. With sufficient interest from the other major centres (or other locations en-route) these could be included. Unfortunately fellas, I lost your contact details when I lost my job - I haven't been able to get back to any of you for ages.

Hey again all.

Oh yeah!

I'm pleased to announce that I've started taking bookings now for Canberra and Melbourne jobs.

The numbers are building, we currently have the following numbers for each of the destinations...

Canberra - 1
Melbourne - 2
Adelaide - 3
Brisbane - 4 (with a very possible 5th - stopover in Gilgandra on the way North)

The number of bookings per "venue" will depend on the level and amount of work to be done on each. My aim is to have a good week's work in each trip, which could be as few as five members (if everyone wants a "full house" job), or up to 15 if they're all simple "3-a-day" jobs. Obviously the figure will be somewhere in between, as most folks at this stage seem to require something kind-of half way.

So keep it comin' folks! I'm more keen than ever to get along with this, really looking forward to it.

As an update, the Brisbane trip is definitely happening. I'll be away from Penrith on Monday morning, heading North-West to Gilgandra - lighting job to do there and an overnight stop. Heading North-East on Tuesday morning, I'll then be bound for Brisbane. A couple of days there, then Friday I head for the Gold Coast, where another 2 jobs will keep me occupied for that afternoon and Saturday. On Sunday morning after clearing out the cobwebs I'll turn South to head back to Sydney. Might go back home via the coast road, methinks.

Adelaide members, don't sweat - I plan to spend another week in Sydney after my return, but then do a similar trip westward to you folks. That's not carved in stone yet of course, but those are the plans for now.

Righto! That's a bit of a rundown, I'm looking forward to it. Been too long since I got out of this city!

I am edging closer to getting my input-only mod finished (have kit built, need time ;-). I have the metallic grey colour (not black) on my console switches. I recall when you first showed the AUX switch you couldn't match the grey paint. Have you found a match yet?

G'day Paul! Nice to hear from you Mate.

In fact I have been able to do the switches in grey for a little while now. It meant getting tight with a local laser engraver dude here, but this is all set up now. I assume that with your kit I would have supplied the rotten red switch, but if you would prefer to fit the spunky grey one just let me know.
