Hello All.
After a bit longer than I though (a hassle or two on the home front...) I'm just about ready to hit the highway again.
Those in Adelaide who are keen to have some ASR work done, it's your turn at last. I have sent a group e-mail to those who have already put their hands up, it would be great to get a couple more jobs while I'm there to fill the week.
The timing isn't set in concrete yet, I first mentioned "a couple of weeks" in the group e-mail, but that would put me there right in the middle of the Clipsal 500 - probably not an ideal time. I reckon probably the week after though, if that fits in with everyone's plans.
So, feedback welcomed - as would be a couple more customers.
Let's make this trip even more successful than Brisbane, huh?
(heh - don't worry fellas - I'm heading to Brissy again, guaranteed. You'll get your chance again!)
Cheerz, later.

Looking forward to it, just need to work out what needs to be done etc
Week after is a no go for me, brothers wedding and despite the car being very high up on the agenda I think the wedding takes the cake for once.
i'l grab the full dash trickery when u come down mate![]()
Good stuff, I reckon we should organise a gathering one night with all the SA crew who are involved.....
Funny you should mention that Adam, I mentioned exactly the same thing when I fired back my email earlier this afternoon. My only after thought was we are from all over the place but then again a nice central spot can't be that hard to find.
I'm up for the works, dash and stereo lighting, Phreddy can do mine as he flies on down the freeway![]()
Absolutely YES. Great idea.
I'm thinking that if it sits OK with all concerned, I might try to get the trip underway before the V8 Supercar event. As it turns out there are some plans beyond that weekend also among the crew, so it would stretch the timing out a bit - I'd like to get the Melbourne run done soon too, and Canberra, then Brissy again... Phew!If it can be organised though, and suits everyone OK, I could maybe even get on the way before the end of this week, or this coming weekend.
I haven't yet heard from all the original list members, but welcome to the new additions! I'll be sending a mailout tonight, plus the odd individual email for quotes and such. If the numbers can be filled pretty well, it works out better for everyone as the fuel spend is split more ways.
Now - I realise that you guys are scattered about a bit, but my intention is to maybe find a couple of fellas who are able to give me a place to crash for a couple of nights each - in return for which you'll get a nice discount - and utilise that as a "base camp", travelling to wherever required for the work. I'm fairly flexible with where and when the work is done, I'm fully kitted up to do the work on-site. Evenings are OK too for any of you with whom daytime would be too inconvenient.
As a guide to how long each job will take, a typical sedan dash conversion takes around 5 hours, a stereo mod takes between 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
OK, so it's getting close now! Please let me know of any objections with the earlier timing, we'll get it soterd to suit everyone if at all possible.

I'd be more than happy Phreddy for you to crash at my place.
Look forward to the email![]()
Well if it helps, won't be using my car much over the 4 days of clipsal, the down side is I have very little room at my place for the work to be done....
With the black flag incident for HRT and Toll my intentions of going to the Clipsal are next to nothing now.
How much room would you require Phreddy, will a driveway do? I'm sure we could get some undercover action happening.
heres my ride, i know its not much but its mine

Too easy, all that is a piece of cake.
Thanks for that.
cant offer you accomodation phreddy but i have a carport and shed for usage, since my old mans 6l caprice has still not been completed yet, the rent a car toyota camry can go in the street. Im a definate for a dash cluster blue conversion, so keep me posted on your arrival and requirements you have my mobile. Adam is close to me so thats two of us close, darren im not too sure on locale.
Outstanding guys - brace your inboxes, group mailout just about to hit.
Rev - if it's OK with you, maybe I can do Adam's job in your carport? (seeing as he's a little short on space...)
Cheerz All, see ya soon!

I'm up at Magill (eastern suburbs) just around the corner from the Magill Uni, from memory you guys are around Unley was it? so 15 minutes away.
I've got plenty of driveway, there's the front lawn which ummm isn't exactly looking like it at the moment but there's a bit of room depending on how much you need.
I'm at Torrensville. If someone wouldn't mind sharing some driveway space to have mine done at the same time/after your car that would be great.
At this stage i'm leaning towards Thursday as i have that day and Friday off work to go to Clipsal.
I'm happy with that, there's no problems there, you can always hitch a ride to me to work if you want since I'm in Rundle St at Kent Town just around the corner from the track.
look like im near you highendrev.. im in unley too
maybe phredy can do both ours at your place
I'm thrashing out my plans with greg at the moment, so I haven't decided yet....
I'm going for the full hog dash and stereo, I did make up my mind and from what I recall I said to go all blue but just having a look at Phreddy's site I reckon the blue with white dials looks sexy as

G'day Noel!!
Thanks for that - hopefully might generate another job or two - looks like I might have a couple of pull-outs...
I need to hear from a couple of the guys still - trying to work out when and where all this work is to take place.
As stated, I'm still aiming to get away tomorrow morning. Would have been earlier, but I had a few things to organise to get mailed tomorrow morning. I'll be getting to Adelaide on Tuesday afternoon.
So we're almost there guys, PLEEZ don't let there be any more pull-outs, as it might mean a postponement of the trip. (it's a bloody long way to drive, I want to make sure I'll have enough work to do once I get there....)
See y'all soon! (hopefully)
