Default ASR Work Examples and Pictures

Hey All,
Whilst Phreddy is out doing some installs I thought I would jump on the computer and start a thread about the work Phreddy has done, being first off the rank I see it as only fitting that I go first.

As some of you know Phreddy is currently doing the Adelaide Roadshow leg and a number of us in Adelaide have had the pleasure of meeting him in the flesh and get some interior lighting / car audio work done on our cars at the same time.

I unfortunately missed out on some original pictures before Phreddy got stuck into it however we all know what the bland and boring green lighting looks like so there is really no need.

Anyway in all it's glory attached you will find what the interior now looks like after Phreddy worked his magic, my camera isn't the best in the dark and being a person who loves 'Auto' on any camera I struggled for a while before I even got something remotely presentable.

I had the following done:

- Instrument Cluster in Blue and White
- Headlight switch
- Window switches in centre console as well as switches on the rear doors
- Trip computer switches
- Complete Stereo

When I heard it was finished I was itching to get home and check it out, not much of the beauty can be seen during the day but when that changed to night it transforms itself into a work of art and much more delightful.

Overall I am wrapped with the result and amazed at how something soo boring can turn into something really really enjoyable and not to mention pleasing on the eyes to look at!

I'll try and get some better pics and pop them up.

Cheers
Darren

I'll add my pics in here as well.

Was great to meet Phreddy and chat about all that boring electronics stuff. Scarily we both work in similar industries.....

I had done all in white the following:

-Instrument Cluster
- Headlight switch
- HVAC controls
- Window switches
- Auto shifter and PWR button
- Ignition ring

All in all, top work greg and an extremely happy to say good bye to the boring green. I'll try and get some better pics after some more experimentation.

Drop Phreddy a PM or shoot him a question in here if you wanna be cool like us

yes and no.

the SMDs require an EXTREMELY steady hand and eye. Otherwise you can toast your entire dashboard/radio

There are no other LEDs in the car. They are globes. Phreddys modifies a single LED at a time to fit into where a globe once sat. Easier then it sounds. A LED only shows light forwards where as a bulb throws light all around it. Simply putting in a LED where a bulb once sat means a VERY dim display. So, careful grinding of the LED in the right spot is required. Once again, one wrong slip and you've just toasted a LED and your back to square one.

So, nowhere near as easy as you tried to put it wrx884
