Heads-up for the WA guys...
G'day All.
I've had several requests from folks in Perth regarding getting some of my work done. Heh - sorry to burst your balloon fellas, but at this stage I'm NOT planning a road trip quite that far! (and these trips essentially have to be driven, as I cart so much gear with me that jumping on a plane isn't practical - plus I need to run about whilst I'm there, so it would be a choice of cabs or hire cars - sure would make a dent in the profits!!)
The good news is that for dash conversions at least (and maybe stereo mods in the near future) I have a contact in Perth who can do the work. Basically the scenario is this - you would order the kit from me, and then when it arrives you would then negotiate with this bloke about the installation. Ant wouldn't be able to do the install for the same figure I do, because for an "installed" job I reduce my margin on the actual assembly work - if I'm sending a kit only, then I have to make some profit as I've got just as many bills as the next bloke. (trying to make a living out of this....)
Anyhow, enquiries are welcomed and I can put you in touch with my colleague over there to thrash out the details.
Cheerz!

I would probably be interested in a blue conversion if the price isn't too steep, any idea what the rough price would be, I am north of the river in Perth.
Do you only perform these on VY/VZ models?

Yea if you could give a guestimate on how much he'd charge it would help rather then buy the kit from you and find he charges way too much. Thanx.

Kalais6 - please see web site for info you're after - http://www.asr-audio.com.au/DashLite.htm - in conjunction with the FAQ thread in this forum. Note that a VERY successful full white conversion has been done - looks sweet!
Stephen and Stevie - good point fellas. Ant, if you're reading this thread can you give the guys a ballpark estimate? Bear in mind guys, the overall price of both the kit and the install is dictated by model and appointment level. If your particular car has more that lights up, then obviously there are more parts required, plus more work in the stripdown and reassembly process. Auto trans is a good example - the whole centre console has to be removed to modify the shifter window and push-buttons - that means a good bit more work, in addition to the extra parts required.
Anyhow, watch this space - one way or another we'll get something posted soon.
Cheerz!
EDIT: Oh, at this stage I can only offer VY/VZ but research is in progress on earlier models. I have done a BA Falcon as well, but I don't crow about that too much.

Hey Tyson.
Not on my web site yet, but vy-storm posted some before/after pics in the "work examples and pictures" thread here - ASR Work Examples and Pictures
Pretty cool, huh?

Sorry guys.....
But here's the deal - as a result of doing my best to keep my prices realistic, combined with the low frequency of jobs, I'm just about broke. At the moment I have folks wanting kits and stuff, but I don't even have enough to buy in the stock I need. I've been trying to chase up some alternative work, and over the last couple of days I've been fixing amps and looking for another full-time job.
I can understand if that's disappointing to some of you, but let me promise you this - it's a bloody lot more disappointing to me.
I will answer your queries, and I will get the kits which are in progress on the way as soon as I'm able to. At the moment though I'm more concerned with keeping the bank and lease company off my back before they take my house and car.
I will get back to all who I need to, please hang in there. I have a pretty tight weekend, as I have my boys with me, but as soon as I can I'll get things sorted for you.
Sorry.
