Default VZ SS Dash, Done by wrx884

Hi guys
Yesterday (Saturday 20-9-2008), i took the trip up to wrx884(anthony's) house and started my lighting conversion

I had a complete LED change

All i can say is WOW, these are so much better in real life than what the pics show,

wrx884 is a great guy to deal with, explained alot, and is a genuine nice guy, oh and really professional

Here is the final result (could only take one pic, rest came out blurry)

I'm jealous. That looks hot!

Does the brightness adjustment still work? It looks a bit on the bright side or is that just the photo?

Brightness adjustment still works as normal, in real life it's not quite as "in your face" as the photo appears. The lenses play tricks with these photos - I've never yet seen a digital photo which really does it justice. Mind you, a pro in a studio with the right gear.... You never know. Maybe one day!

I have access to quite a nice digital SLR at work, if I ever get one of these mods I'd have a crack at it!

Phreddy, do you mind shooting me a PM for how much that conversion would cost (in white, for a VZ SS, doing the whole car including bluetooth button (and it has t/c but I don't believe it lights up, wouldn't complain if it did however!))

I also PM'd you about a Blaupunkt low-level output yesterday when you have time

Hey Danja.

Firstly, your TC button should light up! If you go with a conversion, it will!

I'll get back to you real soon Mate.

Thanks Phreddy, I checked this morning, it does light up but only when the parkers are on. The bluetooth and power window buttons all light up when the doors are opened though? Guess it makes sense, confused me a bit thought

Look forward to hearing from you!

Ah, yes - the window switch lighting, and the "other" stuff, are on a separate circuit. The window switches only light when they're active.

Try this - unlock your doors, then look at the window switches. They'll be lit, and you'll be able to wind the windows down or up. Wait for a short while without doing anything with the ignition (about a minute or so) - you'll maybe hear a relay click, and the window switch lights will go out. At that time, you'll not be able to control the windows either. Hit the button on the key again, and they reactivate.

If you turn on the ignition, this is then bypassed until to then turn OFF the ingnition AND open the driver's door. The switches remain active and illuminated until this happens.

But all this happens completely independently of the parker/headlight condition.

PM sent Danja.
