Good to hear about the VE and it looks really good. This is something I would like to plan for as the next mod.

What would the pricing be to change the cluster and MFD to white? Or blue but with the blue would you include the price to change over the steering wheel lights as well?

    Cheers,
    Abe

Abe - do recall getting your email before too Mate, but haven't had a chance to get back to you really - sorry!

When I do a conversion, we're usually talking about a full job heree - not bits and pieces. At this stage I'm finalising my new price lists, but ball-park for a full VE conversion would be around $300. (simply because there are a whole lot more LEDs used.... 30 LEDs in the centre display alone!!)

I will get back to you soon -= once my feet are back on the ground. (just back from over a week in Melbourne - pretty knackered!)

    Hey Phreddy, hope you're well.
Sorry if it's off topic, but have you done an RCA conversion for the factory VE decks yet?

Also, regarding my query on page 1 re: the blue LCD screen, I've since found out that the Calais' have blue screens. Do you reckon it's a Tech2 thing to get mine to blue, or would I need to purchase a Calais screen? I've seen the SSV screen do heaps of other colours when an aftermarket sat nav is hooked up to it, so I doubt it's the screen itself.

Thanks for getting back to me Phreddy, a full conversion in blue sounds good to me.

Like I mentioned in the second email, when ever you get some time. Oh and willing to tackle another VE.

    Cheers,
    Abe

    Default Thank you Phreddy

    Hi,

This is to say thank you to Greg from ASR Audio & Electronics. He dropped by at my place today here in Canberra and he got into changing over my Omega VE.

He has done a fantastic job and I'm loving it and while he was at it he also swapped my head unit over that I had re-programmed by Adrian.

As you can see from the pictures, my dials are lit up by white and my buttons are blue. I'm very happy with the results, thanks again.

Since I've now got the HU from a Maloo, which has the screen, the LCD between the vents is not active but I've got another idea for that.

    Cheers,

    Abe

    Blue H/U LCD screen!

Did Greg change that over too, or was it already like that? I'm trying to work out how to change my screen to blue to match the rest of the dash when Greg does it.

Actually that was done when I had the H/U re-programmed, Greg and I weren't too sure how it would turn out but it came out really good. See quote below:

"We can actually change for you, only red and blue though. Also we can change the logo to chev, caprice, hsv etc.. A future product in testing is to actually be able to load your own Startup screen." by Adrian@NoLimitElectronics.

Thanks for the great write-up Abe - it was a total pleasure Mate.

It's a pity I couldn't get to see it at night, but the photo looks great. If you're able to, and have no objections, I'd love a few good hi-res shots for my webby.

Thanks again for the job Abe - great all 'round.

    Cheerz!

PS - Dave.... I'm looking into this at the moment re the programming thing - We'll talk soon...
