VS blue instrument lights

Hey guys im only new to the club but didnt seem to find much on how much a led kit for the dash and the rest of the instrument lights for a VS S1 berlina and is it hard to do sort of work.Thanks for the help

Phreddy is working on it as far as I know, the VR/VS cluster is a bit of a mongrel to transfer the ligh evenly and the needles are even worse.

For the cluster you can just replace the globes with 4 blue parker LED's, it doesn't light up any of the red stuff, but still is pretty good and you can get the LED's for under $30.

They dont work man as it has been discussed in this section b4 No LED that replaces the globes work good enough i mean look at the dark and hot spots uve got, not 2 mention the tinge of green in the blue.

why not do something smarter and just go on ebay get a full cluster part to replace the dull vs vr ones? i had a white one that lighted up white at night with red flames!! pm me if u want one sent

I've got LED parker globes in mine and they work a treat... they spread evenly no worries at all.

The needles were a pain though, I ended up scraping the orange coating off them.

you cant unless ant has a idear the way it works is on 4 globes mate i dont know if im wrong here but when i had my vs dash i had to get the replacement cluster because it woulnt work unelss you want to start modifying things .. without breaking things... just get a whole cluster replacement... best idear mate

Well works good enough for me, to me it looks blue, to me I can see what I need to clearly. The speedo is there for me, so I see no problem. Beats spending a fortune just to get some blue lights I don't enter in ne shows or nothing so why bother.

I dont mean 2 offend man but thats just how it is, i can pick more out of it but i wont since ur happy thats all that matters. atm theres nothing on the market that replaces "just" the globes. i bet if i got my hands on ur car ur thoughts would change ASR is a great example.

man if you want ill hook you up with a custom dash insted of these lights.. if your happy with them thats fine.. but i think you would be alot happier with oh... lets just say it lighting up at night with white numbers n blue needles? nice n clean look if u want pm me you can send me or ant ya dash we will make it look good... i got my dash done by wrx hes really good he did it for my vz as i cudnt do the same on my vz as i did on the vs

and also do the replacements come in the statesman form cluster or just to suit commodore as the stato ones are slightly different..

does anyone on here actually stop and think of the extra power and heat * just chucking * other bulbs in creates. if you modify something do it properly. the amount of commodore dashes i work on a week from people putting bulbs in that get to hot and melt stuff is ridiculous.... research and do things properly from the start and you want have problems. but the blue bulb replacement in the above dash does look killer il admit

yeah ive seen this too, higher power bulbs and those condoms over the top, it still doesn't work and stuff starts melting or fuses start blowing.

yea me 1 is getting really sick of pulling my dash apart due to busted globes i 1 myself will be doing a conversion with a set of red or blue if available globes
