hey hey, can you guys do sheet metal(or aluminum) rocker covers? some guy in the states is looking at getting some made up for a bmw m10, and i was curious if i could get something done over here, might be a bit cheaper.
would be looking at it being a simple as possible, with a screw type oil cap, and a -6 or -8 fitting for the breather.
the stock ones have a funky baffle on the inside for the breather, im not fussed on having that replicated, it vents into a catch can anyway
i can send a stock one down if you want, to copy from.
what sort of price you think itd cost to make me one.
pics for reference
edit: and a pic of the head

Hak,
We could build something like that but the cost would be prohibitive, We would have to do a laser program for the rail and a one off 10mm thick Alum rail or even a steel would be expensive and we would have to build a one off jig. Maybe the one from America isn't to much if they are set up to manufacture them.
Ben
considered making them for supercharged v6 and ecotec?
Whats wrong with the stock one?
We have.... But people are getting them from china for dirt cheap, we can't compete, although they are junk people still by them. Same as our pans, few companys have sent them to china to be copied, they crack and leak and rarely fit nicely, but because they are so cheap people still buy them....and only learn the second time around that they should have bought one of ours.

what approximate cost would it be for a set?
tell me about it. I'm a sheetie too working in HVAC industry. I've seen some garbage being brought over from China, eventhough customers don't want it it still gets pushed onto them. It makes our product here "overpriced" eventhough it's almost next to nothing. Asian trade is ####ing the industry so to say. We've lost a significant chunk of work to imported asian crap. In the end though, it's their product that will be falling appart not ours.
What we really need is a cover that looks like a drop tent now this will sell for like 300 or so a pop and it just bolts on
2 or 3 mill alloy box with the two stainless steel straps
No one has these
I'd make them but I can't weld or bend

What's the cost layout around $150 if that alloy sheet 2-3mill some stainless Steel straps
I'm guessing you have the gear to produce this I'm 100 percent positive these will sell like hot cakes
People are searching eBay and other site for this type of dress up gear
I will give you $350 for the first to be made as a templet and you give me the next one so I've paid for one and paid for the first materials I will pay freight to me
It would take me at least half a day to a day to RnD one, not mention putting a car up on the hoist. $90hr to RnD something plus materials. $350 is a bit short, I wouldn't even get out of bed.

Mate your sounding like Parris Hilton it's money in you pocket at the end of the day of rnd and the cost to sell is something as I said BUT it's your product so you price it OR don't make it and I'll find someone who wants to work and put money into there pocket for my idea![]()
Ok it's my product, give me $5000 and I'll build you best drop tank look cover anyone has ever seen. Otherwise you would best to seek someone else who wants to put money into their pockets off your idea
