i hav the 2 channel version i bought it off my mate and havnt had a problem. its used for running splits
Typical of an Alpine AMP to go into Isolation or Overheat mode.
What are you running off of it??
They dont like alot of work... why people swear by Alpine has got me BEAT!
Alpine is ALL MADE in CHINA even there CDA head units 1 out of 5 the CD eject does not work or the cd will not come out.
Rockford Fosgate Gear including the AMPS are built in the USA... hence why they are so good.
Actually not quuite all of RFs gear is made in the US. Actually only a small percentage is made in the US. It IS however all assembled in the US. The circuit boards are created and assembled in Taiwan and then everything is sent to the US where the boards are screwed in place and the earth strap soldered in place. But the majority of the work is DEFINETLY done in Taiwan.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
^^^ Actually the Rockford Fosgate website used to have some small writing hidden on the bottom of some areas of their Punch line of audio saying its not built in the USA. Only for the punch line though. I asked around and was told the punch line was in fact built in Asian countries by various manufacturers.
Running Soundstream amps myself. Had for 6 years in 3 different cars and they still run fine.
Don't mean to bring up an old post but isnt Lightning Audio made by Rockford Fosgate?

Because the thread is up again.
I owned the Alpine MRV-F345 (75x4), I had the amplifier for 2 years.. I brought it new. I thought it was on the bit expensive side... (brought from alberts)... to power 2x Alpine Type R Splits (70wrms version) (Front & Rear). Now have sold all the gear to my brother.
I NEVER had a problem with this amplifier, It produced good output. Maybe I just got a good one
I do like Alpine, I think they make some decent stuff... the new Type R Splits are great!! My gf has a pair in her car.. good volume... with decent SQ.
I own Alpine headunit... I think I'll always stick with the Alpine Headunits.... never had problem with it... has remote... ipod connection.... looks pretty good... It's only a standard model.... no fancy screens or anything ... I don't care about the looks aslong as they perform.
