Default Alpine V-Power Amplifier - MRP-F250

RRP: $299

Features:
  • 4 Channel Amplifier
  • 50 Watts RMS x 4
  • Mosfet Power Supply
  • Output Mosfet
  • Bass EQ
  • Subsonic Filter
  • Speaker Level Inputs
  • Built-In Crossover

Things I like:
  • Reasonably Priced
  • Well Designed (Exterior Layout)

Things I dislike:
  • Amplifier often goes into isolation for no reason, Has been checked and cleared, unkown why it does this.
  • Several problems with the amplifiers output, amplifier was replaced under warranty.
  • Outperformed by my other amplifer, a Lightning Audo amp... Need I say more?

Star rating out of five:
1.5 Stars out of 5.

Default Typical of an ALPINE AMP

Typical of an Alpine AMP to go into Isolation or Overheat mode.

What are you running off of it??

They dont like alot of work... why people swear by Alpine has got me BEAT!

Alpine is ALL MADE in CHINA even there CDA head units 1 out of 5 the CD eject does not work or the cd will not come out.

Rockford Fosgate Gear including the AMPS are built in the USA... hence why they are so good.

Actually not quuite all of RFs gear is made in the US. Actually only a small percentage is made in the US. It IS however all assembled in the US. The circuit boards are created and assembled in Taiwan and then everything is sent to the US where the boards are screwed in place and the earth strap soldered in place. But the majority of the work is DEFINETLY done in Taiwan.

^^^ Actually the Rockford Fosgate website used to have some small writing hidden on the bottom of some areas of their Punch line of audio saying its not built in the USA. Only for the punch line though. I asked around and was told the punch line was in fact built in Asian countries by various manufacturers.

Running Soundstream amps myself. Had for 6 years in 3 different cars and they still run fine.
