VY Blaupunkt 6 stacker into VZ

My 6 stacker in my VZ R8 has died and I want to replace with a factory stereo. One option I have found is a 6 stacker from a VY Calais. The unit is identical and I know it will just slot straight in but will I have any problems with the PIN and matching it from a VY to VZ. I would presume it shouldn't be a problem but has anyone else done this swap and experienced any problems??

Yes it is as simple as plug and play - as long as you have the correct PIN from the new unit it will perfectly. I got a 6 stacker from a VY SS in my VZ SV6. Getting a unit from a ute is the only time you'd have problems - you'd have to get the rear channels enabled from Holden - definitely worth saving yourself the effort as they have absolutely NO idea.

Cool, thanks for that. I have seen a 6 stacker from a Maloo and it has a different control where you would normally have the aerial up/down button.
Good to know a VY unit will work.
