is it my runners? can i get some dynamat to prevent this or is it because my window isn't secured properly? if i roll up my window a couple of inches the rattle goes away.
any suggestions?

It's normal, just happens with cars that have been around for a while...if you want to fix it properly then its a massive job taking the door and windows apart to fully adjust and reseal everything...just wear and tear of the car mate...all about friction and rubbing points

I have the same. if i put my window down a smidgant, it instantly goes away. bf if i know why though.
my cars the same. put ur window down or up a few mm and should be fine.

My window used to rattle when I had it down, all the way down or a little bit. I have since had to get a new power window regulator, as the old one fell apart, and the problem is now gone. So I guess my problem was the regulator, dunno if you can check that too easy..
The product you want is called bailey channel and it goes in the channels on each side of the window where they run up and down. In older cars this starts to harden up and create rattles.
It can be a prick of a job though. Probably require taking window out sometimes.
sound like baily channel to me also,new genuine is best,good 2nd hand is the cheapest(check its still softish and flexible) or you can also get universal gear but check sizing
may pay to remove the door trim and tighten anything that may be loose first
