Nope. I had a VYII and the standard alternator worked fine. What's with all the shouting anyway?

Yeah, but yours was a V8 wasn't it Reaper? Perhaps the V6 isn't up to the task, can't overcome the power drain, especially WHEN ITS BOGGED DOWN WITH EXTRA WEIGHT!

I would think that the power requirements of the system would work on the combined power of the amps not the speakers.

A lot of people are running much more powerful systems than that but don't have a problem. Maybe it is your alternator but not because of your sound system, but because its just stuffed. Maybe get it tested.

Good point. But then again the V6 should be powerful enough to turn the alternator I would have thought. All he needs to do is get a bananaback to tow the car from car park to car park so it can look cool.

If you posted in a way that had at least some respect for the readers I would never have posted in this thread.

a 95 amp alternator is way more than enough for your needs.... just cos you put a bigger alternator in doesnt mean its going to charge the battery any quicker.... maybe if you warmed your car up for 5 minutes every morning before you drove it, it would give the battery a bit of time to recharge... batteries take about 15 minutes to get back to the same state of charge that they were on before you started your car.

or the easier option would be to not drive with your music cranked every morning....

By the way - I didn't mention any V8. Learn some manners mate.

Uhhh I was replying to the stig (which is why I quoted him) and said that the 6 should be powerful enough to turn the alternator. Perhaps thinking about what you are posting before you go off the deep end might be in order.
