    Default choosing a good amp?

hi all just another noob question from me. So i have 2 sets of 260watt max 60watt nominal splits and a 600watt max 300watt nominal sub in my ute. The sub is powered by a 600 watt monoblock amp at the moment and the speakers are just powered by the head unit but i want to change that. So basically would i be better off with a monoblock amp for the sub and a 2 channel amp for the splits or a four channel amp to run the lot and if so could you recommend a good one please. thanks

2 SETS of splits, where the heck did you fit 2 whole sets of splits in a ute? Oh well would be cool. Just get yourself a nice 4-channel amp to power all your speakers. Leave the mono alone its nicely powering the sub so why change it.
Anything with 4x60wrms at 4ohm will work fine, but if you got the cash something with about 4x100wrms at 4ohm would be perfect for the system. A lot of people on this forum will tell you to get an amp that is more powerful than the speakers nominal rating.

This would work: Ryda Car Audio - Soundstream PCX4.360 Picasso - Amplifier($275.00)

Even better: Ryda Car Audio -Soundstream LW4.620 Lil Wonder - 4 Ch Amp($311.25)

Would be awesome with plenty of headroom for any future upgrades: Ryda Car Audio - Soundstream TRX4.640- Tarantula 4 Ch Amplifier($493.75)

This is just one brand that was easy to find. Shop around, see what different stores have to offer. Just stay away from Strathfield LOL. Definately check out any Car Audio Specialist stores in your area.
