There's a few things that can cause alternator whine...
    - Broken ground between amp and head unit (in RCA line) - The RCA links the head unit and amp grounds together so if the ground in the RCA is broken or RCA not pushed in all the way, it can cause noise
    - Bad ground on head unit or amp
    - RCA's too close to power cables
    - Faulty alternator

    alternator is brand new
i got power running thru drivers side and rca thru pasangers side
and just replaced the rca's due to amp falling off mounting bracket causeing them to break inside the amp

Even if power and RCA cross each other at the back of the car, they can induce noise. But it soudns like your problem is probably a grounding issue.
