    Default VT 6x9"parcel shelf speakers

    hey all,
i will soon put 6x9 speakers in my parcel shelf and i was wondering how you pop out those two metal plates that have become the bane of my life in the VT? apparently they are held in by 4/6 small welds and i can feel them when i tap on the boot as to which is the weaker ones. how do i remove these? can i pop them out from the boot or do i have to remove the back seat and then the parcel shelf to pop them out into the boot?

    cheers in advance,
    james

remove the back seat and parcel shelf - you have to anyway to fit speakers.
i used a cold chisel straight through the welds or you could use a flathead screw driver and hammer if you didnt have a cold chisel.
you probably could do the same from the boot side if you wanted to.

or you could slip a hacksaw blade in the gap and cut through the welds.
