Alpine iDa-X305 IPOD Connect Help

Hey just got a alpine iDA-x305 ex demo soo no box, instructions etc.

Problem is, connect ipod thru the cable that was supplied n comes up USB Device error.

Tried 2 30g vid n i iphone n same error.

Got a feeling its this IPod cable they gave us as it looks exactly the same as the pioneer one we have ere.

Tried the ipod usb cable, same error like wtf.

Anyone got one of these, show us a pic of the ipod connect end, as in where it connects to the ipod.

Can only get it to run thru aux in, cant get the headunit to control the pod fully.

Dont those units come with a dedicated IPod lead, or is that what your talking about?

yeah they do but its just a usb lead with ipod connector.

the connector is different to my alpine cda9851 mines smooth, this one supplied is the same connect as teh pioneer one, thats y me thinks its wrong cable, but its usb so it should bloody work

atm the ipod is running thru the blutooth input with a pioneer ipod cable, works like aux in but got no left speakers

Bit pissed off i recomend get a dedicated IPOD system to me bro n it dont even work, damm apple y they make compatibility soo difficult.


Looked at sum reviews, apparently u can run a Iphone with new OS3 on it anyways.

yeah was wrong cable.

Ill check tonite on me bro ifoney, its got 0S3 on it, we jst got a 30g ipod vid for the car now.

But have read that few ppl have th shits with them not workin on new OS

Cheers, yeah I've got the iPhone with 3.0 firmware but I'd be using a 60gb iPod video as the main device.

Sorry as well I could be looking up the stats on the page, but if you plug in the iPhone I'm guessing you can set it up as car kit?

No go, dont work with OS3 comes up with error, unknown device.
Hope alpine can make a patch for it or sumfink, run it in thru threir ipersonalize, but i doubt it.

my alpine ida-x001 works beautifuly no dramas at all.whats the cable look like?

works fine with ipod video, jst dont work with new iphone OS3.

Cable ended up bein the wrong one, all sorted now, even got a free remote for our troubles. nice
