on Ryda.com they have ran out of there range 2008, the 2009 range isnt currenlty shown on there web site but the guy has given me a deal for 299 bucks

Could they recommend a 2-ohm single voice coil, or dual 4-ohm voil coil, subwoofer for the same price. That way you would have 400watts coming from amp.

EDIT: That amp is $177, so couldn't they supply you with a Pioneer TS-W307D4 for $120?

i just checked on the offical clairon web site and the cheapest 2-ohm is 12” DUAL 2-OHM VOICE COIL SUBWOOFER $329.00 AUD but on ryda i found a Pioneer TS-W308D2 12" 1400W Subwoofer - 2 Ohm for $178.80 that would be to powerful?

Yes it looks like the TS-W308D4 is the newer version of the TS-W307D4. But whatever sub you get make sure it is either a single 2-ohm, or a dual 4-ohm voce coil sub otherwise you won't reach the amps potential.

If you can build you own custom enclosure than you will have a lot more choices. If you can't then you need to buy one in a factory enclosure. Something cheap like a MTX Hammer or Kicker CompVX will be quite nice. I have even heard the new Autobahn (?) dual 12" ported box and they pump for the price, I think it was like $290.
