What?
Does the head unit work at all?
If the head unit works, what is the problem you're having? No picture at all? Warning on the screen?
This isn't kindergarten, give some useful info.
just has the warning flashing on the screen
what warning? "don't use while driving?" if so, the rear monitor cable hasn't been connected correctly..
Does the head unit work?
A little more info, would help us, help you....
What model?
Every Pioneer model I've used would work if you touched the green wire (handbrake wire) to ground. If it's not working, you mustn't have found a proper ground.
lol its clear your problem is with the earth for the handbrake.
Was the handbrake off when you tested it? Then thats the problem. Handbrake has to be on.
Or do what I did and wire the handbrake caution wire streight to the body![]()
model no is avh p4100dvd
touching earth wire on bare floor pan under console has seen picture no 4 times but warning comes back on the screen it must need a toggle switch i m guessing
cheers nathan
"has seen picture no 4 times but warning comes back"
In english?
The picture comes on but you still get the warning?
you have to stop the car, pull the hand brake up, pull it down and pull it up again and push ok....accept or watever....

argh, if the handbrake trace is earthed, it will work at all times without requiring input as a warning msg should not be displayed if wired correctly. (have u checked your earth with a test light?)
My alpine works fine, without any prompts, and there are three "safety" wires, footbrake, handbrake and rear monitor trace. All are earthed permanently, and works just fine...

i would presume the manual would have listed how to wire up and get the unit working..
