Just bought a 12 inch kicker sub and amp from jb hifi today and was wondering where the best places were to run the wires through like for the battery ect cause i cant find any suitable places to run the wires for the amp and sub.
Thanks Guys
Firstly if your not confident or havent done this before then maybe its better to pay for a pro to do, broken interior peices and at worse case damaged stock wiring can easily cost more than the install would.
Is the car auto? if so then you can use the clutch grommit in the firewall, its to the right of the brake booster (when standing in front of the car) and is an oval shaped grommit about 40mm x 70mm. Just pry that out, drill a hole in it and run the cable through it. Then just replace the grommit in the firewall. Open up the dash (the lower section under the steering wheel where the fuses are) and you should see the cable in there somewhere, just feed a metre or two through from the engine bay. Run it down into the kick panel and under the sill panels. Run the remote cable down the same side too.
If its manual it becomes a little more complicated and dangerous (expensive) if not done by a pro.
The RCAs need to be ran down the opposite side (passenger).
