can someone list the reason why my system would be going static crazy...
im trying to narrow it down why its happening, i only got until sunday to have this project on the road..
Cheers in advance!!
Give us some more information and we might be able to help you with your specific problem, not just a generic answer of change stuff until the fault is gone.
We don't know what your system is and we can't read your mind.

Unplug all RCA's from amp.
Plug in 1 set of RCA's, test. If that is fine, unplug those.
Plug in other set of RCA's, test.
Try another amp in place of what you have already.
Try some other RCA leads.
Try some other speakers.

Thanks guys ill swap speakers around, ive tryed 2 different HD and no luck...and the subs n amps arnt connected yet..
its just sony setup.
I'll figure it out now.. i have to![]()
thanks again!!!
If it's just the head unit running speakers, then it's probably the grounding of the head unit.
Or speaker wires touching each other... If they touch each other they crackle really loudly over the music. If they touch ground, they usually mute the sound totally.
solved it, i crossed a power and neg by mistake, not bad 1 out of 6 speakers i fked up lol while drinking haha
