calais question

[vs calais 95]

I was wondering whether it was possible to ever be able to wire my volume and mute controls on the steering wheel and my stacker in the boot, in my vs Calais, back to my head unit? i don't think it's possible to do with my head unit in there now but is there any out there that could support it? Not something I'm keen on doing right at this point but i would like to have those controls and the stacker working again!

The stacker wont work im sorry to say, although it is possible to integrate the steering wheel controls with your aftermarket head-unit. To do this you will need whats called a CAT, available at most car audio retailers. The installation part can be a little tricky so unless youre really experienced with these sort of things its best to get a pro to install it. Theyre not cheap, somewhere around the $200-$300 mark i believe.

cheers mate, wasn't really thinking it was gonna be cheap but im not to worried i really wanna get those controls working.

not to worried bout the stacker though, would be nice to get that cranking but i'll be using my ipod most of the time anyway i guess.
