Just wondering whether I can hook up a 5 channel amp to a headunit with only 2 preouts (the second one preout can be run to the rear/sub).
I have a sony xplod CDX-GT370 headunit and Earthquake xtreme 900.5 watt amp if that helps. Plan on running 4 speaker and 1 sub.
Thanks
How many inputs does the amp have?

it has 3 inputs
u sure can man
just run the front rca outputs from head unit into channel 1/2
and u have to split the rear/sub rca outputs to give u 2 sets of rca leads
run those 2 sets into the channel 3/4 and channel 5
this will give u control
only thing u cant do is fade from rear to sub but who needs to do that
Cool as mate thanks
wouldnt it be better to split the speakers and run a dedicated sub rca, the sub needs more power and then you have a sub control by fading the speakers and the sub, thats another way anyway>
yeh u can do it many ways
doesnt really make much of an audio change when u split them just chages the ability to fade
