DD 512a + Fusion Powerplant D class???

Ok, so im in visiting my local today and he tells me he has this amp in for $399

Reckons that i can run this amp at 50% gain or 425RMS at 4ohm on my DD 512a.

He said if i was really serious, then i could probably get away with 850RMS at 4ohm, and that he used to demo a 512a on a 1500RMS unit a while ago.

Is this for real, or is he just after a sale? Sub is rated at 300RMS and i run it off a 260RMS soundstream amp

You could run it off an 850 rms amp no problems, just need to set the gains correctly
