VS sedan sub placement

Hi guys,
I have a single 12" MTX to put in the boot of my vs, just wondering if anyone has experimented with different positions in the boot?
Ideally flush against the back seats in the middle facing forward would be the most convienient and look the best (pull down middle seat to see it).
But I heard that in the back corner opposite side to spare wheel facing the rear quarter of the car sounds the best? Im prepared to make a custom box.

Also, being a Calais, I really like the 10 stacker and steering wheel controls, is the standard system with new speakers and amps capable of providing the same sound quality as an aftermarket head unit?

Does it have RCA outs?

corner loading gives alot more bass and an aftermarket headunit is so much better

between the seats will still go off. it all depends on what u wanna compensate. looks or sound?. to me behind the middle seat would be the preferred option
