Default No bass or mid coming from speakers. Help?

I recently bought a 1992 commodore exec wagon. it came with a kenwood kdc-139 head unit and speakers in the front doors (i dont know the brand). everything had been working perfectly for two weeks until the other day i was driving along and the bass and mid just stopped, so now all i have is the highs and it sounds terrible. I figured it was a fuse so i checked but nothing was wrong, so now im thinking it might be the wiring in the back of the unit but im not experienced with car stereos. Anyone have any ideas what it could be and how i can fix it?

    -thanks-

Are the front speakers splits/components (separate woofer and tweeter) or coaxials (all in one speaker)?

Are the speakers just running from the head unit?

Is there any other speakers or subs in the car?

they're components, i think there running off the head unit and there are no other speakers in the car

sounds like ur crossovers have either died or both wires have come lose either in the doors (remove trim to inspect) or on the crossover unit itself.

Pick the easiest thing first and do each step...

    - check the speaker wiring at the back of the head unit.
    - check the wiring into the crossover (if the components have one)
    - check wiring at the woofers & check the woofers actually still work

Sounds to me like a wire has come loose somewhere. Try that ^^^^^
