    Default Multimedia Unit in VS

Hey Guys, im putting a multimedia single din unit in my vs commodore and there is a hell of alot of wiring coming out of the back of it (alot of AV ports, yellow, red, white).... so much that the unit wont go in all the way. Has anyone else got any suggestions how to get around this problem? Thanks

Sorry about the double post but i managed to get it to do what i wanted. the multimedia unit is a bit longer than normal cd decks as i found out but i can still fit in there fine. for anyone else wanting to do something like this it is acctually quite easy. i taped all of the wires that didnt belong to the AV ports in a bunch and there is acctually quite a large shelf like compartment above the air conditioning control unit.. this is where i placed the feedback unit and the fuses then ran the loom down the back right up against the heater unit. anyways here is the finished product, works a charm

Sorry about the quality, its taken in my shed at night... but the screens so big you get the idea anyways

Welcome.....but yet it seems another newbie posting in the first sponsors thread as it had audio in title. Navigate for a while around the site. There is a thread heading that is titled car audio. This thread should have gone in there.

In terms of your question, there are some RCA cables which have right angles that are much easier to use and allows the unit to push back in further. There are also different brands with right angle RCA's which are smaller than others which means that when connecting to the back of the head unit, there is more room for it to sit further back.

I had a VS for 3 years. I sold it 6 months ago and I had 7.5k worth of audio visual gear. My head unit was an Alpine IVAD-105E and for this unit to be pushed back in far enough, we had to use right angle RCA cables on the rear of the head unit.

Again.....Welcome.....But have a search around and get to know this site as its a fantastic and informative site, and harmonious when used correctly
