    Default Can i fit this?

Today i purcahsed a new Alpine head unit, and while i was on their site, i saw one of these..Alpine Electronics of Australia
I'm wondering if it would fit in the lower compartment (under the aircon ect buttons) I've seen in a few cases people have fitted a second single din DVD player ect, in this section, but i'm not sure it the shelf would have to be modified in any way to accept it? any ideas?

Wow thats very cool! Did not know they were made. Might have to look into that for my VX when i decide to turf the stock stereo!

As for your install, I hear it can be done, but you will need to mod some stuff to make it fit, what exactly im not sure.

Doesn't the VP have a double din slot for the headunit? I'm possitive i've done in an install on one before.

If not, you may need to make a bracket and just bolt it on where ever looks neatest.

Makes me wish i had purchased one of those instead of running cables from the glove box to a power inverter under the passenger seat, and from the power inverter to the center console. All for a playstation i've used twice
    Check out my ride!

The VP is a single DIN. I did the same thing running the cables for IPOD ect up to the centre console, an previously the govebox. $120 is a lot to pay for a tray which simply extends out, but no one else makes something like it, so yeah...Plus i think it looks pretty cool, and would be a good way to fill an otherwise empty DIN. My only real cocern is how far it extends out, and would it clear the shifter..
