Default Anybody had a Jenson head unit

I picked up a Jenson VM9212N Touch Screen DVD Player today....looks like a pretty good unit, but wondering if anyone has had anything to do with this brand and what they think of them. Was told they are pretty big in the States and have been around for yrs.

hey dude, my mate bought the same one. seems to be really good for what he paid, has all the features, plays dvd's nicely and clearly, however he had some trouble getting the sound to come out clear when playing movies.

i guess u can only whack it in and give it crack be the guinie pig. i sometimes wonder if it was the install thats giving the average quality or if it is the unit, i know u get what u pay for but there are just so many factors in every install and from car to car

i installed one of them in my mates car over the weekend got alot of features for what you pay and the video quality is pretty good.
only down side to it in my oppinion is it was really loud. not sure if its the fans or the cd spinning but it was definately loud enough to piss me off lol.

damn....guess the volume knob will have to fix that....I'm sure I can get AccaDacca & Chain to drown out the unwanted noise

installed one a couple months ago, seemed alright, but the fold out mechanism felt real flimsy. other than that, had to set it to a different country to scan fm properly

I installed one in may car 2 weeks ago the one from repco on special for $299. Been wanting a good priced dvd player for the car and i leapt at one for this price. Good quality dvd player watched a movie on was surprised the quality of it nice and crisp image. The loudness can be a bit of and issue on stock speakers but. A word of advice if you get it change the FM region to europian if i remember correctly because you cant seem to get stations that are in points like 99.5 and 97.3 it will only go to whole numbers like 98, 99, 100 etc

Thanks Timy.....in time I'll be having the sound coming throu an amp so hopefully that will fix the sound issues playing videos...its a pity they didn't do something about the radio station regions seeings how they are wanting to get a foot hold here in Australia and build a good name.

I got mine in now, even though its only a temporary fit till I change the dash over. then I'll put the amp in as well and the reversing camera. its not very loud considering the last unit I had in, but I'm sure the amp will fix that....come on summer!!!!!!
