I'm currently in talks with Darren from the forum about possibly sponsoring Just Commodores.
I represent a online retailer of premium car audio gear with endorsed installers around the country. Most of my products are from Europe and represent some of the best value in Australia.
What I would like to find out is if there is a strong need for audio related gear here on Just Commodores.
That said, I'm also interested in finding a Commodore owner who would be willing to help me showcase some of my products to the rest of the forum. I will obviously help with pricing and would prefer someone who could write a build log, reviews and attend meets often.
If you have any questions please post them here. If you are interested in helping me showcase some products feel free to PM me with your MSN and I will happily have a chat with you.
I hope to hear from you all!
Only if you sell brands not available in Australia.
It would definately depend what brands you are selling. You say they are some of the best "value" gear, does that mean its cheap(ish), or would it be more high-end kind of gear?

StoneX,
I sell brands which are a little more difficult to find. I'm the official online retailer for a couple of brands at the moment and I'm trying to get exclusivity for a couple more. I basically found the brands which which had the best quality at the most reasonable prices. That said, I'm currently considering some importing of some mean gear from the US. It depends completely on how well it competes with what I currently offer, I cannot let my level of Quality/Price fall at all.
Philthy,
I sell anything from the low end to the upper high end. The idea was to get the best quality and most reliable products. I was lucky enough to find brands which were both reasonably priced and better quality than most of the mainstream products out there.
Any more questions? Please Ask.
SPL Dynamics, STEG, Nakamichi, Option Audio, Vibe, XMPLAR, Audio Development, Crescendo.
[edit] Oops, typed that before your reply was there.
I must have left a post somewhere with information that was google friendly? LOL!
Nope, I know your site. I had just never looked at it before.
O alright, well I hope a lot more people on here will be having a look at it very soon!![]()
Audio certainly is void in the sponsor list for me. I'd welcome the opportunity for good deals of some of the better gear out there.
Of the people who come to this site, a fair few tinker with their cars mechanically, but nearly all have dabbled in car audio to some extent - hugely untapped markets IMO.
All the best with it.

Now its time for me to get someone on here to help me showcase! I have already had a chat to a few people today and its looking very promising!
Hi Joe, with a retailer that participates in advice to forum members really causes problems as if someone is asking for advice about a certain product that you dont sell then your not obviously going to be able give advice or possibly steer him in another direction. Also a lot of people ask constantly about comparing different products which always opens up a can of worms.
Having said that i have seen a few of your posts and you generally have been helpful to forum members but just giving you a little heads up. Me being a professional car audio installer and also been on this forum for a few years. I really try not to say one product is better than another but more try just to help others from my experiences. Also i am always learning about car audio and use this forum to get good feedback. Wish you all the best!!
TO answer your question about a strong need for car audio related gear would be answered with 2 things in mind. 1. Buying car audio equipment online always makes warranty and after sales support more out of reach than using a shop. 2. Forum members like a bargain so if you use products that are not mainstream makes selling more difficult as they have no one else to compare to.
Cheers Luke
Well being helpful is my primary concern. If it means I can sell something along the way then that's even better
1. I use endorsed installers who help me with my warranty support. I'm also available on MSN most of the day (sales@shoppingsecure.com.au) which also links up to my BlackBerry so I can reply to most emails almost instantly. So don't worry, I work hard to ensure I'm easily reached.
2. That's why I'm trying to find cars to showcase my products at the moment. I have complete confidence in my products and once everyone on here finds out just how good they are they wont need to shop anywhere else!
By the way, do you run a shop or a workshop? Let me know because I'm always looking for more installers, especially in Melbourne.

I second the product!! I hate when i instal stuff correctly and it doesn't work so I check and double check the install and just to find that the product is like faulty or the fuse already blown.. Grrr
LOL! Any major flaws in products on my site and they get dropped so I'm all over those types of issues![]()

Your dreamin'
Someone said earlier that they hate it when they spend hours searching for a fault only to find it's a product failure....mate....I LOVE it. What I hate is when I spend hours swearing black and blue that it can't be my work, but it is. I try to limit those to a bear minimum.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
When I get a unit back with a blown fuse and blown internal amp which stinks like burnt electronics, it's pretty obvious it wasn't made like that
I really love "dead on arrival" only to find burnt ground tracks from power being connected to the ground wire.
It's pretty obvious when it's been wired incorrectly![]()
