Default Where to put speakers VL

i have tweeters in the dash already good ones pioneer ones and 6x9's on the parcel shel also good ones which are clarion, powered by a decent head unit, am wanting to put anohter set of 6x9's in because it is not really loud enough in the front will driving with the windows down, thinking ether cut holes in the door trims or maybe more in the parcel shelf but it wont make it any beter for the front lol
any ideas where they should go ?
    cheers

Yep i would be looking at purchasing an amplifier to power the 6x9s....theyre a big speaker and require a fair amount of power to get the full potential from them.
Something will around 80-100wrms per channel is ideal.
Installing another pair of 6x9s will not only look crap it wont give you a huge increase in output either.

Only tweeters in the front? Don't VLs have 4" speakers up front as well?

Well that's what I thought. Upgrading and amplifying those will get that up front sound.

Yeah, a 4 channel amp to run the front and rears ...try to use a set of 4" splits for the front as well...you will like ...not just the cheapest set of 4"s around.

MOAR 6x9s!! You can never have enough! Seriously though, I don't think I've seen a ghetto vl install with 4 6x9s in the rear shelf since about the mid 90s. Get some splits in the front and amplify them post haste!

All the sound would be coming from behind you so IMO it would sound like garbage. Also, if you want bass a sub will be infinitely better than 6x9s.

Finally, cutting the parcel shelf is illegal and defectable, and for good reason- its an integral structural piece of the car, and child seats bolt to it.

mine has 6x9s in the front door trims
i tried to use the door spaces so i wouldnt need to cut a hole in the trim, but speaker wouldnt fit
i made sure i got some decent spacers though so it actually does look half decent

Yes it would sound like shit with 4 6x9s in the back. Tell me when you go to a concert do you stand with your back to the stage? A proper SQ setup in car would have the sound stage in front of the listener, with the bass from the sub blending in perfectly with the speakers. Its honestly a waste of time and money mounting a set of 6x9s, let alone two sets.

Also, cutting the metal in your parcel shelf is definitely illegal and renders your car unroadworthy.
