Ok guys, so i live in Cairns, and we only have the one car audio store, unless you count places like WOW, ect. So there's no opputunity to really listen and compare set's, unless their on the board, which their not.
So i have around $350 to spend on a set of front splits.
I've considered Alpine Type R's, as i can hear them on a board, and they re currently in stock
But a few i'm also considering, but unfortunately cannot listen to, are-
Digital Design DDC6.5
Hertz ESK165
Sound Stream LOS LS.60C
Pretty much i just want as much volume as possible, without losing too much sound quality
I'm leaning a bit towards the sound streams, apparently retail is $449, but Ryda is doing them for $270..
Any opinions you guys have would be great..
havent heard any of them personally but have heard good reviews on both the DDCs and the Hertz.
Of the ones on that list I have definitely heard the most good things about the Hertz ESK.

Go the Type R's if you want strong Mid Bass up front. You will need an amp to get the most out of any speaker though.
Heard fantastic reviews of the Hertz. Both setups I've listened to them in, they've sounded just right.
