ok i fixed the remote wire problem but now when i have it turned up with the lights on the dim a little when the sub reacts? is this normal how can i fix it?
it's normal....it can be fixed but it can be a lengthy process. Basically mate, check your grounds, make sure they are on a good solid contact point to the chassis. Grab the wire, can you move the terminal? Yes? THen tighten. Make sure there is no paint inbetween the ring terminal and the chassis.
Also, VNs have a habit of having really poor battery to ground cabling. Grab a length of 8ga or 4ga and upgrade that as well. This probably won't fix the issue....but you at least gave it an honest shot!
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
Yep upgrade the factory earth from the negative terminal to the chassis, use atleast 4awg cable and sand back the spot on the car to bare metal.
Its a fairly common problem, other than upgrading the alternator charge cable and the factory earths etc the only other option is to upgrade / upsize your battery.
150db in a commodore =
Upgrading the battery - chassis, alternator - battery, engine block - chassis wires to 4awg fixed mine up 99%. When this battery dies I'll grab a good one and see if that fixes the extra 1%
