Hey Guys,
My car audio has stopped working for some reason, It started when I first got the car I would be listening to the radio and TEL would come up on the display when the road was rough or a go over a bump, I looked thru my audio book and worked out it had something to do with the wireless phone jack or something... anyways, it seems like the TEL problem is gone it doesnt come up anymore. BUT now i dont have any sound at all, I turn on the radio and turn it all the way up and all I hear is some crackle sometimes and the only way I can hear it is if i turn it all the way up and put my head too the speakers I can hear the music slightly...
any help would be great
thanks
More than likely there was a hands free kit fitted before you bought it. Try removing the head-unit and un-plugging the unit for a minute or so, alternatively you could disconnect the negative battery terminal too.

hmmm still no go, is it possible to remove the hands free kit?
btw could it be a wiring problem?
It could be, remove the p/s of the centre console (screws are located on the side of the glovebox and you should see a loom there, probably just cut wires. Make sure each wire is insulated properly.
Other than that i think youre head-unit may be on the way out?

I was fitting an amp in my car on the w/end and i used the power supply from where the hands free kit was installed and when i put the test light on one of the connections and earthed the other end the radio went mute and TEL came up on the LCD display . So you might have a loose wire under your console.
