Exclamation Help! Choosing the Right Sound System for my VS Calais

Hey guys need some help as im not very familar with car audio.
I have a budget of $1500 and want to install a full sound system into My Vs Calais.
I was thinking either a full Sony or Pioneer setup but i dont know which is better
Im not sure whether to get 2x 12" subs in the boot or just one big 15" one.
I've been told Kicker is the brand to go to for Big Base Subwoofers.
As for amps i wouldnt have a clue where to start so i could use some guidance/help thanks
basically I just want as much base as possible at the best quality possible for my price range anyone got ideas on what sub and amp etc setups I should get.
sorry for the fkd up english lol
    Thanks.

Mate, i wouldnt be going with just the one brand for the entire system. Brand "A" might make good head-units but their speakers might not be the best value for money, while brand "B" might have good speakers but their subwoofers or amplifiers arent the best either....its ideal to "mix and match" to get the desired sound for the desired budget.

Have a look at this thread i made up, basically for guys like yourself.

Take a look at the SPL Dynamics range of subs too, i use them and cannot fault them in any way, they are ideal for lots of bass and can guarantee they will out-perform the Kickers.

EDIT: As far as the sub/s go, it would depednd on what you were after and the type of music you listen to, 2 12s is an "allrounder" approach, providing good bass output for most types of music, while a 15" sub will give you more lower-end bass, but with both options it will come down to the box you buy / build for them.

Thanks for that, In terms of music i probably mostly listen to Rap and Trance mostly but i enjoy everything....About the boxes/enclosures, does it matter that much what type/kind of box i should be looking for if i was to get 2x 12's ?

Box type / size is going to play a huge part on how ANY sub sounds, you could spend $2,000 on a sub and it will sound like crap if its not in a good enclosure. Not only does it have to be matched to the sub/s, is has to be properly sealed strong.

Its a big thing alot of people look past when buying a system.

    My picks:

Front Speakers: Shopping Secure - SPL Dynamics SD-6.2 --> $150 - These are great value and I think they are much better than anything else out there for the price.

Rear Speakers: Shopping Secure - SPL Dynamics TD-602 --> $125 (optional) - You don't need to use these but you asked for a full sound system.

Subwoofer & Subwoofer Amplifier & Wiring kit: VIBE - CBR12 Enclosure --> $700 - This is a well built box and will get the most out of the subwoofer, it will blow away 2 average subwoofers in a poorly built box.

Speaker Amplifier: Shopping Secure - SPL Dynamics S-1002 --> $250 - Well built with a small profile so it will make it easier to fit around or hide.

    Total: $1225 + shipping

Total Minus JC Discount: $1100 + shipping (happy to split shipping if it comes to a large amount)

That leaves you with some cash left over for the head unit and some sound deadening/door pods/accessories that you may also want to use.

    Any questions? Ask.

No worries. I just realised you have two threads? Are they for the same system because your looking for different things in each thread.
